My new favourite tool… 🤩 A bangle forming die press; a simple and easy way to make a plain bangle into a rather fancy one! Lots of you wanted to know how I created this effect, and here is the answer 🙂 I’ve never been a big fan of regular plain bangles, but I’m loving the wavy results I’m getting with this tool. It couldn’t be easier to use either; just put your bangle into the lower part of the press, use the spacer to help centre it, replace the top half and whack it with a mallet. I’m using

This was fun to make! ⚒️ A triangular bangle makes a really contemporary alternative to a traditional round one. I’m falling back in love with bangles, having avoided making any for a long time (put off mainly by the faff with sizing them) and despite being a big fan of circles I’m really loving this one! It’s super shiny, and also hammered for texture and a little bit of sparkle… ✨ The wooden forming mandrel is by Fretz and is a beautiful thing in its own right. It was sent to me by @maddisonso

It also makes a really satisfying noise when sped up… 🙃 The mandrel is a stepped round one, and has a tang on one end that can be secured in a vice. I love this because it allows me to hold both the mallet and silver bangle more securely as I’m working, and I find the top-down view easier to see what I’m
