Eddie Jaku was born Abraham Jakubowicz on April 14, 1920, in Germany. After surviving Auschwitz and Buchenwald concentration camps, Jaku later moved to Australia in the 1950s. He was best known as the author of the uplifting book, “The Happiest Man on Earth” and was described as “an inspiration and joy” by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
