The Albuquerque Police Department held a Sunday press conference to address what they call "misinformation" regarding the officer involved shooting that left a handcuffed man dead in the back of a patrol car. We learned the suspect was NOT properly searched and sat in the back of the patrol unit for 45 minutes with a gun in his waistband. APD K9 and Air support assisted officers in the NW area command in arresting a suspect. The man driving a stolen vehicle, Nicholas Todd Roupp, fled from officers into a neighborhood. He unlawfully entered a home of an elderly woman. Officers helped the woman exit the home safely. APD K9 then entered the house and located Nicholas. Nicholas Todd Roupp was arrested by officers for receiving and transferring of a stolen motor vehicle, breaking and entering, and three felony warrants. | Albuquerque

Angleton Cop Suspended Amid LJ Investigation. Officer Jennifer Chapa of APD is a suspect in an alleged offense that occurred in Lake Jackson early Sunday morning. According to APD Chief Lupe Valdez, she has been suspended. LJPD CID is actively investigating the case. | Brazoria County Scanner
