January 1, 1987: Oklahoma linebacker Brian Bosworth is interviewed by NBC sideline reporter Paul Maguire during the 1987 Orange Bowl game. Bosworth was suspended by the NCAA after testing positive for a banned substance. It was his final appearance as an Oklahoma Sooner. Despite Bosworth's absence, Oklahoma defeated Arkansas easily 42-8. Bosworth's replacement Dante Jones was named the game's Defensive MVP. It’s been 70 years since an F5 tornado touched down in Blackwell, Oklahoma. The twister touched down just before 9:30 p.m. on May 25, 1955. The National Weather Service said 20 people died and 280 people were injured. It is estimated that 80 city blocks in Blackwell were damaged or destroyed.
