Getting to your campsite here is half the fun! All Frontcountry and Backcountry campsites within Voyageurs National Park are water-based, require a permit, and can only be accessed by boat. At the end of this video you can see the campsite at Round Bear Island (k29), which is only a 0.9 mile paddle from the Ash River Visitor Center.
