While incarcerated at the TDCJ - Mark W. Michael Unit, parolee Jesse Estrello attended services and participated in programs at the unit’s Chapel of Hope. Through these programs and the love and support he had from his mother, Estrello was able to rebuild his sense of self and get his life back on the right track. The combined motivational force of his mother and his fellow inmates at the chapel led Estrello to make parole in January 2017 after being behind bars for 24 years. Upon being released
