Movement under the peahens feathers indicates the chick are out of the shell. This is one determined mother bird. Last week when we had a wind storm with a couple drops of rain and a large branch broke off from one of the white pine trees. The branch landed right next to her and her clutch of eggs but she did not abandon them. Their next big challenge is hopping off of the Out Post Learning Center roof. It's a 7' drop. Lucky for them the ground has a nice soft blanket of pine needles. | Shalom W
