Solo hiking can definitely cause some anxiety. But I find that if I follow three basic rules, it is much easier and often more enjoyable than group hikes! Don’t get me wrong, I love hiking with my friends — but you get my point. Rule 1: Always tell someone where you are going. Also, try to make periodic check-ins.
