Jan 5, 2021 · Restart the device on which you are watching Prime video. Restart the router too. Once the TV has restarted check the software update on the TV also the Prime video app. If every thing is in place, go to the settings on your settings> locate applications> and find Prime video app. Try and clear cache and data on the Prime video app.

It’s not the system that needs to update, it’s the Prime Video app. I’ve reset the device twice. Both times, when initially opening the app it takes me to the screen that says “update”.
