Jan 26, 2010 · Andersen will ship a "Van Load" to their Circle of Excellence Lumber Yards. They can compete with Home Depot this way. Basically they'll ship a trailer load of windows to the Lumber yard at a discount. Lumber Yard has to get a few houses worth of windows before they fill the quota for that load. So the lead time may be 2-6 weeks.

Nov 8, 2011 · Most are hazed over and are a huge pain to open. The American Craftsman line by Anderson at Home Depot seems decent. I'm not looking for top of the line or bottom of the barrel. Something "good" that will keep the heat out better in the sumer and in in the winter. For 9 windows its roughly 1500 $ and I plan on having a carpenter buddy install them.

Sep 10, 2011 · What is your opinion on Home Depot or Lowe's shingle quality? I will be doing my own house this fall and just wondered if there was a general consensus. I know with windows, my customers ask me about their Pella windows and I have found the quality is not the same as the local Pella window supplier.
Any sub contractors work for home depot here?
Apr 7, 2012 · Sounds like it depends on the product/area you are in. I subbed windows from home depot for years and enjoyed it, and made good money with them. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but always like to put my 2 cents in because we had a great experience with them.

In other markets how do others that sell Andersen Windows call out the difference. Its easy once you are in the home selling to inform the homeowner.

Aug 5, 2008 · Based on dollar for dollar and option for option, I would always choose Pella in my house. Eagle is also a very good choice but I haven't dealt with them as much. If you want cheap, easy to get, low end, low cost windows, you go to Home Depot or Lowes but like someone said, don't expect the same window.
