Jun 20, 2011 · The average out of my 4 5/8" Ruger Blackhawk was 1776 fps. Yes, you read that right. It's a stout load. I also checked a load of Montanabulletworks 220 gr. loaded over 19.7 gr. of Hodgdon 110. That's just a tad over their starting weight of 19.5. Again fired from my Ruger, the velocity averaged 1766. That also is a stout load.
