Ariana Grande endured a downright frightening moment on the Wicked: For Good red carpet in Singapore on Thursday. In several videos going viral (below), a crazed fan broke through the red carpet’s security line, rushed the actress and aggressively threw his arms around her.
The man who charged at Ariana Grande at the Singapore premiere of “Wicked: For Good” is now facing the consequences. According to BBC News, Johnson Wen, 26, has now been charged with being a public nuisance in Singapore. He faces a fine of up to $2,000 ($1,540), if he is found guilty.
Ariana Grande was accosted by an attendee at the "Wicked: For Good" premiere in Singapore on Thursday. According to footage of the incident, as Grande walked down the yellow carpet greeting fans, the attendee appeared jump over a barrier and run up to her before wrapping an arm around the actress, who appeared shocked by the interaction.
The man who jumped onto the red carpet in Singapore posted video of the incident to his Instagram account. He later appeared in court where local media reported he was charged with being a public nuisance.
