Greenberg said a campus street will be named for Tom Jurich and that a celebration will happen at June 28 at 10 a.m.

For two decades, Tom Jurich didn’t just lead the University of Louisville athletic department — he helped reimagine what it could be.

The city of Louisville will rename a section of Floyd Street on U of L’s campus after former Cardinal athletic director Tom Jurich. The renaming will take place during a 10 a.m. ceremony on June 28. Louisville mayor Craig Greenberg announced plans to honor Jurich on Tuesday morning.
