A former Miami Heat employee appeared in court on Tuesday and was charged with transporting and transferring stolen goods in interstate commerce after allegedly stealing millions of dollars worth of items from the team.

A former Miami Heat security officer accused of selling stolen memorabilia worth millions made his initial appearance in federal court.

Marcos Perez, appeared in federal court on a single count, which stems from allegations that he stole and sold millions of dollars' worth of Miami Heat memorabilia.
