Ghislaine Maxwell, the former girlfriend of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein who was convicted in 2021 of helping him sexually abuse teenage girls, said on Tuesday she opposed the potential release of transcripts of proceedings before the grand jury that indicted her.

The Justice Department turned over a version of the Ghislaine Maxwell grand jury transcripts that identifies which information is not already publicly known.

The push to make the transcript public comes amid pressure from Trump allies and the House GOP to unseal related grand jury materials.
