HOUSTON — Astros fans are feeling the love as Carlos Correa returns, rejoining the team that launched his Major League Baseball career. Correa’s first day back with the Astros on Friday brought a wave of excitement across Houston.

BOSTON — Carlos Correa wasn’t going to waive his no-trade clause for any other team. But when the Twins told him that they would be rebuilding for the rest of the season – and probably beyond – Correa OK’d a deal back to Houston, where he still owned the house from his first go-’round with the Astros.

Vibes are appreciated, but production wins pennants. How much of it Correa can contribute is a legitimate question.
