CNBC anchor Joe Kernen questioned President Donald Trump on Tuesday over his claims about a recent jobs report. A revised report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Friday found that hiring had slowed in July and was much weaker in May and June than initially recorded.

President Trump is urging Texas Republicans to re-shape the state's congressional districts in order to flip five U.S. House seats ahead of next year's midterms. The president said in a phone interview on CNBC Tuesday morning that his party is entitled to those seats.
