Rookie goaltender Dustin Wolf recorded his third shutout of the season and his career while backstopping the host Calgary Flames to a 1-0 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.

CALGARY -- Dustin Wolf made 26 saves to help the Calgary Flames hold on for a 1-0 win against the Montreal Canadiens at Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday. It was Wolf’s third shutout of the season and in the NHL, setting a Flames rookie record and tying him for the NHL rookie lead with Leevi Merilainen of the Ottawa Senators.

As Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost returned to Philadelphia, memories of their time with the Flyers were still fresh.

VOORHEES, N.J. — Since he took over nearly two years ago as the Philadelphia Flyers’ general manager, Daniel Briere has methodically subtracted players he believed didn’t fit in with what the team was building or the culture they were trying to instill.
