WWE may have an idea in mind for when to run the final match between Brock Lesnar and John Cena following the former's return at SummerSlam.

It sounds like a particularly important roadblock could prevent WWE from moving John Cena‘s retirement match to go head-to-head with AEW Worlds End. Earlier this week, it was reported that WWE was considering moving John Cena’s retirement match from December 13 to the 27 to go head-to-head with AEW’s World End pay-per-view.

The biggest event of the summer is here with WWE and its tentpole show: SummerSlam. The promotion heads to East Rutherford, New Jersey this weekend for a two-day spectacular at MetLife Stadium -- the first time that SummerSlam will be held across multiple days as has become normal for WrestleMania in April annually.
