Russia on Sunday claimed its troops had captured a strategically important town in eastern Ukraine, as part of a grinding campaign to weaken Kyiv’s grip on the country’s industrial heartland.

As of Monday morning, January 27, the Russian army lost 1,430 soldiers in the last 24 hours. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia's losses amount to 831,620 soldiers,

The Russians attacked Ukraine with 104 Shahed attack UAVs and decoy drones on the night of 26-27 January. The Ukrainian air defence forces have managed to destroy 57 drones, and 39 more disappeared from radar.
