Nvidia and Apple are neck and neck in the contest to become the largest U.S. company. The chip maker’s market value briefly surpassed Apple’s in intraday trading Monday, according to Dow Jones Market Data.

Nvidia briefly became the world’s most valuable company ahead of an evening CES speech from CEO Jensen Huang which Bank of America expects to be “reassuring” for investors.

"We still see CES as a positive catalyst, re-asserting NVDA's platform dominance/opportunity in high-growth markets," Bank of America said.
