Novo Nordisk A/S is following in rival Eli Lilly & Co.’s footsteps by selling its hit weight-loss drug Wegovy directly to US patients at a discount.

After Zepbound-maker Eli Lilly reduced the price of the weight-loss drug, competitor Novo Nordisk has cut the price of weight-loss drug Wegovy.

Some commercially insured patients stand to save $150 per month on Wegovy, a popular obesity medication. Patients on Medicare and Medicaid are not eligible.
