Former UMass wide receiver Anthony Simpson pledged to join Michigan football via the transfer portal on Sunday night, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

The University of Michigan football program has secured a significant addition to its secondary with the commitment of Louisiana cornerback Caleb Anderson through the NCAA transfer portal.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder is the second receiver Michigan has landed in the transfer portal this cycle, joining Indiana’s Donaven McCulley. He also is the 12th portal addition overall.

Simpson, who spent two seasons at Arizona before transferring to UMass, is the second receiver the Wolverines have added from the transfer portal.
