The Gophers football program on Monday landed a player that could bolster their wide receiver group when former UCLA receiver Logan Loya announced on X that he has committed to Minnesota out of the transfer portal.

Malachi Coleman, who spent last season with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, announced he has committed to Minnesota after entering the transfer portal. The former four-star recruit and top-60 2023 recruit was an immediate contributor for the Huskers in 2023, finishing with eight catches for 139 yards and a touchdown in 11 games.

The Gophers' hot streak in the transfer portal isn't slowing down anytime soon. UCLA graduate transfer wide receiver Logan Loya committed to the program.

The Gophers on Tuesday received the third commitment from a wide receiver during the December transfer portal window when former Nebraska wideout Malachi Coleman — one of the nation’s top recruits in the 2023 class — announced on the X platform that he is joining Minnesota’s football program.
