Duke freshman Cooper Flagg appeared to injure his left ankle after slipping under the basket and was helped to the locker room by two teammates late in the first half. He did not return.

Duke coach Jon Scheyer said Thursday that x-rays on Cooper Flagg came back negative after the Blue Devils' superstar freshman left the team's ACC Tournament quarterfinal game against Georgia Tech with a sprained ankle.

Following the injury, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith took a bold stance (h/t Clutch Points). Smith (via First Take): "He shouldn't be playing for the rest of this conference tournament.
