Canadian Natural Resources (NYSE:CNQ) said Thursday it plans to boost production by 12% and capital spending by 13.5% in 2025, anticipating resilient demand for Canadian crude in the U.S. and international markets.

The new production range represents a growth of 12 per cent over 2024 levels. It had estimated a total production of 1.33 million to 1.38 million boepd for fiscal 2024. Canadian oil producers in December had projected higher production for 2025, betting on resilient demand for Canadian crude in the U.S and international markets.

Shares of Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. CNQ inched 0.77% higher to C$47.27 Friday, in what proved to be an otherwise all-around poor trading session for the Canadian market, with the S&P/TSX Composite Index GSPTSE falling 1.
