Winter weather-related advice was issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) for at least three states on Monday, with meteorologists expecting up to 4 feet of snow to fall in some parts of the U.S.

In Larimer County, the winter storm warning is in effect from 5 p.m. Saturday, March 2, until 9 a.m. Monday, March 4, and applies to elevations higher than 9,000 feet.
NWS issues winter storm warning when snowfall of 6" or more could fall in Northern Indiana, 5" or more in Central Indiana, and 4" or more in Southern Indiana within 48 hours.
T he storm also produced major winds in areas that didn't see snowfall, especially on March 4. The maximum wind gust was 93 mph in Hugoton, Kansas. A gust to 86 mph was clocked in southeast Colorado.
