TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The National Weather Service ( NWS) in Topeka is conducting a tornado drill Wednesday, March 5. The drill will occur at 10 a.m. next week. NWS states that everyone is encouraged to participate in the drill by practicing where to go to for a safe and secure shelter from a tornado.

HOGANSVILLE, Ga. — The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed that an EF-0 tornado touched down in Troup County during the early morning storms on Sunday, Feb. 16. According to the NWS, the tornado first touched down at 4:25 a.m. northeast of Hogansville off Highway 29, where numerous trees were snapped and uprooted.

The National Weather Service issued the tornado warning for Northwestern Clackamas County in northwestern Oregon after a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Molalla, or 17 miles south of Oregon City, moving northeast at 50 mph. The warning was cancelled just before 6 p.m. No damage has been reported.
