A cool week remains ahead for South Floridians, bringing pleasant temperatures but rather misty conditions. The effects from blizzard conditions in states north of Florida have pushed into South Florida,

“North winds 25 to 30 knots with gusts up to 45 knots. Seas 7 to 10 feet, occasionally to 13 feet,” the NWS marine forecast from Fernandina Beach south to St. Augustine said. “Intracoastal waters very rough. Showers. Freezing rain after midnight.”

Lingering frigid conditions could continue to disrupt the South in cities not accustomed to the deep freeze that has gripped much of the nation.
