The Pittsburgh Penguins have struggled to keep the puck out of the net, resulting in some ugly plus/minus totals, including Sidney Crosby's minus-19 rating.

Sidney Crosby moved up in the NHL record book and Bryan Rust ignited a four-goal outburst in the first period as the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the visiting Edmonton Oilers 5-3 on Thursday. It was the Penguins' first win over the Oilers in more than five years.

Crosby helped the Penguins get on the board Saturday, when he found Bryan Rust on a 2-on-1 breakaway midway through the third period. The Penguins have lost four of their last five games, and over that span, Crosby has recorded two assists, 14 shots on goal and a minus-8 rating.

Saturday’s loss in Seattle dropped L.A. to 2-3-0 on what coach Jim Hiller called an “unsuccessful” five-game trek.
