Tuesday night into Wednesday morning will be the coldest of the stretch. Actual temperatures drop 5 to 10 degrees below zero. Wind chills will be 15 to 25 degrees below zero. Wednesday afternoon sees some sunshine as high temperatures climb back to the mid teens.
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Following the December deadly crash that killed a 4-year-old girl in Ashtabula County, changes are being made the intersection of Sexton Road and Clay Street.
The city of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County have released where warming centers will be operating during the extremely cold temperatures that are to come early Monday morning.
Weather Advisory encompasses Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lake counties and will remain in effect through 10 a.m. on Monday.
The snow has stopped (for now) in Cleveland, but the bitter cold prevails. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY remains in effect until 4 p.m. on Wednesday for Ashtabula and Lake counties. The advisory will bein in effect from 8 a.m. Tuesday through 4 p.m. Wednesday for Lake and Ashtabula counties, with the advisory for Geauga County starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday and running through 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The Weather Service warns that wind chills around 25 below zero can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Concern about exposure has led to dozens of school districts in Northeast Ohio canceling classes for both today and Wednesday.
