ATLANTA — Brittney Griner officially signed up with the Atlanta Dream, according to the team on Facebook on Saturday. Griner has spent her entire 11-year career with Phoenix since getting drafted No. 1 in 2013. The 6-foot-9 center decided this offseason to test free agency for the first time.

Brittney Griner is officially ending her 11-year run with the Phoenix Mercury to start a new chapter with the Atlanta Dream. The 10-time All-Star center announced Tuesday night (Jan. 28) on Instagram that she intends to sign with the Atlanta squad for one year.
