Immigration raids continued to ratchet up anxiety and anger over the weekend across Southern California, including at the Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet.

A federal appeals court will decide Tuesday whether California can block President Donald Trump from taking over the National Guard.

Trump directed ICE to deport immigrants in the U.S. illegally, specifically from Democratic-run cities such as New York and Chicago.

More than 30 million Californians across the state could see their electric bills go up to pay for the devastating Eaton fire as officials scramble to shore up a state wildfire fund that could be wiped out by damage claims. One early estimate places fire losses from the Eaton fire at $24 billion to $45 billion.

Video from the scene showed masked federal agents apprehending several people, accompanied by armed U.S. Marines.

At least five carwashes across Los Angeles County and Orange County have been raided since Sunday, according to one labor group.
