The Orioles’ first three picks were Auburn catcher/corner outfielder Ike Irish (No. 19), Coastal Carolina catcher Caden Bodine (No. 30) and Wehiwa Aloy (No. 31). The No. 19 pick was the Orioles’ original first-round selection, while Nos. 30 and 31 were compensation for losing Corbin Burnes and Anthony Santander in free agency.

If there were any word of choice to use to describe this year’s MLB Draft, it’d be this: bedlam. It was a wild first round with a ton of surprises, especially at the top of the draft with Eli Willits and Tyler Bremner being the top two selections.
