Xbox Was Knocking On Doors About Ninja Gaiden 4 'Six-Seven Years Ago'
The surprise of the Xbox Developer Direct this week was the announcement of Ninja Gaiden 4, and according to Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer, it's been a long time in the making. In the same chat with Gamertag Radio, he revealed how Xbox was actually knocking on doors around "six-seven years ago" about this project:

First revealed at last year's Xbox Games Showcase, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 received an update at the Developer Direct showcase. The turn-based RPG arrives on PC, PS5, Xbox Series S/X and Game Pass on April 24, 2025.
At the third annual Xbox Developer Direct event, previously-unannounced games and release dates were revealed. And Ninja Gaiden 2 Black came out, too.
