Amid a tough loss to Maryland, UCLA's Mick Cronin candidly addressed the team’s struggles with turnovers, defensive lapses, and the emotional toll of the devastating Southern California wildfires.

The No. 22-ranked Bruins fall to their season-worst third consecutive defeat Friday, committing 21 turnovers while getting overpowered by the Terrapins.

Cronin has been a solid coach for UCLA since coming over from Cincinnati in 2019. He led UCLA to the Final Four in 2021 and back-to-back Sweet Sixteen berths in 2022 and ’23, although UCLA missed the tournament last year.
