The Boston Bruins suffered a 4-3 road loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday. Boston struggled out of the gates as the Ducks got out to a 2-0 lead before Morgan Geekie scored on the power play. Geekie then scored again to tie the game 3-3,

Jeffrey Viel took exception to Radko Gudas undercutting Mikey Eyssimont in the third period of the Bruins’ loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday.

Jeffrey Viel is in the lineup for the first time since Saturday in Montreal. The 28-year-old forward is projected to be on the fourth line with Sean Kuraly and Mikey Eyssimont. Viel is looking for his first point as a Bruin; he had 37 points (13 goals, 24 assists) through 68 games in the AHL with Providence last year.

The Boston Bruins could soon be getting star forward Elias Lindholm back in the lineup. Boston will begin a four-game road trip on Wednesday in Anaheim, and Lindholm will travel with the team. Lindholm hasn’t played since Oct.

After an emotional win on Saturday at Montreal, the Bruins lacked the spark that had helped carry them to a 6-1-0 record in November entering Monday’s game against Carolina at TD Garden. With several key players missing, he tried to rejigger the lines in hopes of finding a little magic, but nothing worked as the Bruins fell to the Hurricanes, 3-1.

Pavel Zacha swung the puck up to Hampus Lindholm at the point, where he unleashed a shot that a net-front Morgan Geekie tipped past Ducks goaltender Lukas Dostal at 14:58. It was Geekie’s 13th goal of the season.
