Oakland police officials announced Friday that they have made an arrest in connection with Thursday's shooting at Laney College. Sources at the San Francisco Chronicle identified the person shot as legendary football coach John Beam.

Authorities are working to locate the shooting suspect, described as a man wearing dark clothing, police said.
