The Adams County Sheriff's Office said the baby was discovered on Christmas morning in Denver by a passerby who stopped to help.

The parents of a one-month-old baby boy who was found in a car seat in the median of Pecos Street in Adams County on Christmas morning, clad in just a diaper, have been arrested.

A one-month-old baby has been found abandoned in a car seat on a Colorado highway by officials. Deputies from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to 911 calls about a baby boy found near a median on 7490 Pecos St.

Once the presents are gone, all that will remain under the Christmas tree is scattered pine needles, but before tossing it in the garbage, there are opportunities to give that tree a second life.
