The PC handheld space continues to grow, and the biggest of all is Acer’s new Nitro Blaze 11. As soon as I saw it announced at CES I knew I had to try and get it in my hands, at least for the sheer curiosity of “Will this thing even fit my hands?

The Nitro Blaze 11 launches in Q2 2025 alongside the smaller new Acer Nitro Blaze 8 ($899), which has an 8.8-inch 144Hz display; it omits its bigger sibling's detachable controllers, kickstand, and camera. Stay tuned for our full review.

Acer is releasing an 11-inch PC gaming handheld with the Acer Nitro Blaze 11, and it comes complete with detachable controllers.

We always expect some bizarre tech to come out of CES, and Acer has made it clear that 2025 is no exception with the unveiling of its enormous 11-inch Windows gaming handheld.

While the Nitro series sticks to the RTX 40 series GPUs, it's the Predator Helios series that will feature Nvidia’s newly announced 50 series laptop graphic cards. The flagship models include the Predator Helios 16 AI and Predator Helios 18 AI, alongside the midrange Predator Helios Neo 16S AI.

Acer Nitro Blaze 11 and Nitro Blaze 8 are equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor that is paired with 16GB of RAM.

Acer announced at CES 2025 that the company is expanding its handheld gaming options with the Acer Nitro Blaze 8, delivering a larger size for those who prefer a more immersive display.

The Nitro Blaze 8 and 11 also differ in design, with the Blaze 11 featuring detachable controllers. The larger Acer option also has a front camera, making it practical for video calls. Weighing 2.3 lbs, only the Nitro Blaze 11 includes a sturdy kickstand. Players will benefit from Hall effect analog sticks and triggers on both models.

Acer’s Nitro Blaze handheld now comes in 8-inch and extra-large 11-inch varieties, though you may prefer the new, slim Predator Helios.
