Liverpool found themselves 1-0 down at half time to bottom side Southampton but they roared back in the second half to win 3-1 at Anfield on Saturday. Arne Slot's side are now 16 points clear of second-place Arsenal but they have played two games more.

Liverpool produced a rapid response to bottom side Southampton taking a shock lead at Anfield, as the Reds extended their advantage over Arsenal to a huge 16 points and took another step closer to the Premier League title on day which saw Mohamed Salah make more history.

Liverpool could rotate their squad against Southampton in the Premier League as they look to establish a 16 point lead.
