LANSING, MI -- Two Lansing police officers were injured during an arrest that ended in the death of a dog.

Police officials say one of their officers shot a dog after it bit the toddler on the leg, and then bit the animal control officer

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -Two Lasing Police Officers were injured and a dog was killed Thursday afternoon while taking a suspect into custody.

Colton Moore was thrown down as he tried to push his way past police and officials to make it inside the chamber for Gov. Brian Kemp’s state of the state speech. Moore, 31, was banned indefinitely from the chambers last year after he referred to the late House speaker David Ralston as “one of the most corrupt Georgians we’ve seen in our lives” during a "The Tonight Show" host forecasted what might go down on what's expected to be an abnormally cold day.

An officer responded to the Studio 4 Less on Military Highway around 1:30 p.m. in reference to a dog bite. An officer arrived on scene and was met with two dogs actively fighting.
