Follow-Up: Hazardous weather outlook and winter storm watch alerts have been issued for New Hampshire from Saturday morning to Monday night.
The winter storm will dump heavy snow and ice all the way from Texas to Maine, and New Hampshire is no exception.
Sweeping across the country from Texas to Maine, the winter storm will begin to dump heavy snow and ice on southern states on Saturday morning. However, the storm is not expected to reach New England until Sunday, bringing frigid temperatures and up to a foot of snow with it.
Meteorologist Mike Haddad takes a look at the latest snow forecast for this weekend.
"In portions of the Northeast, this could end up being the biggest storm of the winter so far," AccuWeather said.
A little bit of snow is possible on New Year's Eve in New Hampshire, according to the National Weather Service (NWS), with a little more than an inch expected in Portsmouth. A clipper system is expected to bring between 1 to 3 inches of light snow tonight through New Year's Day morning.
According to CBS Boston, several districts reported delayed starts or full closures due to slick road conditions and forecasts calling for continued freezing rain and ice accumulation.
Across the Northeast and in New Hampshire, 2025 was drier and warmer than normal, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s annual report.
