All AFCON 2025 matches will be shown live across Channel 4’s TV and live streaming network – airing on Channel 4, E4, 4Seven, Streaming and Channel 4 Sport YouTube. Morocco, the hosts for AFCON 2025, are widely considered to be the main favourites to be crowned champions of Africa this year.
The 2027 edition of the tournament will take place during the summer to avoid this issue, but with the Club World Cup in 2029, AFCON will again be in the winter due to fitting it within a constrained global soccer calendar.
The broadcaster has secured exclusive rights to the 24-team tournament and will show every game - with the Boxing Day fixture between Mohamed Salah’s Egypt and South Africa live on Channel 4’s main channel. The remainder of the group-stage games will be available to watch on E4 or 4Seven, or online on Channel 4’s streaming service.
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco will be a thrilling celebration of football on the continent. Ivory Coast head into the tournament as the reigning AFCON champions and will be desperate to lift the trophy for the fourth time.
