The former publisher of the Gettysburg Times was sentenced to a single day in prison as a result of a federal mail theft case, court records show.

Hartman was a publisher with the Gettysburg Times since 2013. He told the owner of the paper he was facing indictment on the charges in August 2024 and was suspended from his position and dismissed.
