An NFL announcer is accusing ESPN of "embarrassing" Shedeur Sanders coverage. Sanders, the son of former NFL star Deion Sanders, is in his rookie season with the Cleveland Browns. The former University of Colorado quarterback was a fifth round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Also, the NFL does not yet own 10 percent of ESPN. That deal requires the approval of the federal government, and there’s no guarantee approval will ever be given. It’s currently possible, if not likely, that the ESPN Bet arrangement will end before the NFL-ESPN is approved (if it ever is).

Former NFL Player Threatens ESPN Analyst Ryan Clark
Former NFL player and current ESPN analyst Ryan Clark is facing threats on social media. Clark, 46, has become a bit of a lightning rod on social media. Clark has gotten into public feuds with former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III and a colleague at ESPN in Peter Schrager.
In March this game of chicken was played with CBS, as the NCAA Tournament was drawing near. In late August, it happened again, but this time with FOX Sports, as the college football season was about to kick off. In both of those instances, a deal was struck and we all got the sports that we already paid for.
The NFL has a plethora of elite wide receivers at the moment, so it's only natural that ESPN would have a hotly-contested conversation about which pass-catching duos are the best in the entire league.
