Former Arizona Cardinals first-round pick Isaiah Simmons is signing with the Carolina Panthers, as made official by the team. Simmons was added to Carolina's practice squad after a slew of injuries at the position opened up a spot for the former No. 8 overall pick.
As announced on Tuesday, the team has signed Simmons to their practice squad. The University of Clemson standout was considered one of the favorites to be selected by Carolina with the seventh overall pick of the 2020 NFL draft, a spot that was used on (eventual) Pro Bowl defensive lineman Derrick Brown.
