The Atlanta Dream defeated the Washington Mystics, 89-56, on Sunday. It was a second-half avalanche for the Dream, as they dominated on both ends of the floor, and the Mystics did not have an answer. Allisha Gray led the way for the Dream with a career-high 32 points and rookie Te-Hina Paopao followed with a career-high 16 points.

Washington entered the fourth quarter trailing 68-44 as they stared down a 4-7 record. The sides traded buckets until the clock ran out, as the Dream came into CareFirst Arena and dominated the Mystics, 89-56. Gray finished with a game-high 32 points on 10-for-14 shooting. Citron led Washington with 10 points but was a -34.

The previous time the Washington Mystics took the floor, the WNBA’s youngest team had its best offensive performance of the season in a 37-point win. In the six-day break that followed, the Mystics were looking forward to the time off and the chance to get in some practice time after a busy start to the year.
