Virginia State Police said troopers have responded to more than 150 crashes across the Commonwealth as a major winter storm spreads snow across the state.

The Virginia State Police said that they had increased the number of State Troopers on the road to handle the storm after seeing an increase in crashes Sunday afternoon.

Virginia State Police say between noon and 3:30 p.m., they have investigated 85 crashes, three with injuries in the Wytheville District and 51 crashes, four with injuries in the Salem District.
