Serena Williams retired from pro tennis after the 2022 US Open. In the next couple of months after her retirement, the American tennis icon dropped several comeback hints, but nothing happened. Later, she admitted that she felt tempted to return but ultimately decided to remain firm in her retirement decision.

Venus Williams said her WTA comeback would be even more meaningful if Serena were playing too, but she’s focused on being “here for now.”
